Charles Wilson Presents
Sunday 1PM PT & ET

Just after Dr. Charles Herrold invented the radio in 1909, CHARLES WILSON began talking on it. While that is a bit of an exaggeration, Charles has had a very diverse career in radio in the Philippines. Now he comes to America and KSAV. Here is a bit of his history.
Started when I was 14 years young with station DZTR, which was owned by my uncle, as DJ/Newscaster. Then its DZMY as a music host. Now off to DZBB - TV Channel 7 as a Continuity Announcer; DZBB Radio as talk show host; DZXX as music host. The television owned by the Elizalde's DZRH - TV Channel 11 as Continuity Announcer.
Then came Martial Law declared by President Ferdinand E. Marcos when the FCC (Philippine Version) changed Philippine Call Signs from "DZ" to "DW".
The following Radio and Television Stations were owned by Mr. Roberto S. Benedicto, a very close friend and ally of President Marcos, The Radio and Television Stations were formally owned by the Lopez' and were sequestered by the President when Martial Law was declared and handed direct supervision to Mr. Benedicto, whom by the way also owned "Trader's Bank", is a very close friend of the President.
